Now, it may be an obvious statement that today's world seems filled with more social, political and economic uncertainty than at any other time in history. And when that prospect is coupled with our society's reliance on technology that is not without error, one must occasionally wonder, "What if?"

At Carnick & Company, we've already considered the "What ifs" and want you to know that you can still rely on us to be here for you even if something happens beyond our control. We have created this web page to communicate the facts should some type of substantial problem occur at our Colorado Springs offices. In the unlikely event of a problem, we will use this page to post and continually update important information about the actual nature of the disturbance, consequent steps being taken to solve the problem, and instructions about what to do during the period between the disturbance and full restoration of client services.

Also, please know that every Carnick & Company employee can work directly from his or her home to connect with our server system and access all client information. In the event of some catastrophic local or regional power failure, or some physical disturbance that could render the firm's office system unusable, each employee – from any location – has access to all client data via an alternative remote system located in Kansas. Finally, in the unlikely event that both our office server and the remote Kansas server are unavailable, employees can access the firm's data by connecting to the computer system at Charles Schwab and Company.

Hopefully, this Incident Communication Procedure page will never have to be used. But we realize it is essential. After all, you trust us. And we can't let you down.
